BREACH

This piece depicts the idea of division or separation through an abstract of sea, air and land mass. To breach is to move apart or to break. The rich color harmonies and variation of form act as metaphor to the cycle of life and to the constant shift in our own lives.
UNDERTOW
Sauvignon Blanc
This abstract painting is about flux and change. Walking the beaches of Carmel inspired this water image. The shorelines there are eloquent ivory or white sands, with cool lavender shadows and turquoise waves. Undertow has those Northern California jeweled colors that we all know so well when walking near the ocean. There is a floating blue marble in this painting which suggests Mother Earth.

KERNER
Eden takes its title from the infamous garden. It is intentionally painted in white or airy looseness as green undergrowth and brambles shifting and moving through ethereal light. It reveals fertile earth is a gift that sustains us.

This painting is a pure abstract, one of those images that asked me to stay true to blue.The goal and joyful manifesto here was mixing limitless hues from cerulean to indigo, allowing the loose but obvious narrative of land to shift, move and burgeon with energy of a kind. The painting is also about water or those shorelines that stay natural, untouched by man and have a personality and life of their own. The cool gray white of the background is also important for variations of blue to contrast and pop. Here the feeling is open air, open heart, with all the possibilities of life cycle ahead.
